If there's one thing you need to know about me before you hire me to photograph your wedding, it's that I love weddings and I love photography. Kind of a "duh" thing when you're a wedding photographer, but allow me to explain!

I love weddings because there is something completely wonderful and human about vowing your love and your life to another person. That moment during the vows always chokes me up. It's so full of meaning, of delight, and of joy. I've shed a few tears more than once during wedding ceremonies!

And I love photography because it is such a beautiful and simple way to capture the moments in life. Call me nostalgic if you want, but I I love looking through old photo albums and hearing the stories from years ago that accompany each moment and facial expression. As a photographer, my philosophy is to capture your wedding in a photojournalistic style so that the moments tell the story in an artistic and inspiring way.

My experience as a photographer spans over 10 years. I started back in the film days with fine art black and white photography, which spurred my love of photography. I graduated from Colby College with a degree in studio art, specializing in photography and oil painting. My background and experience in art, including several curated shows, is the foundation for my appreciation of creative and unique images. I'm always anticipating creating beautiful compositions that take advantage of gorgeous lighting, resulting in inspiring images that stand the test of time.
